Vallabhaneni Arrested

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Police on Thursday arrested YSRCP leader and former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi at Rayadurgam in Hyderabad on the charge of kidnapping and threatening a person employed at the TDP office. He was later brought to Vijayawada for production before a magistrate.

Cases have been registered against him in the alleged kidnapping and coercion of a Dalit employee. He is named as A71 in the attack on TDP office at Gannavaram during the YSRCP regime. According to police, the arrest was made following receipt of a complaint from Satyavardhan, a computer operator at the TDP office.
